Bybit Card Cashback: On What Balance Does It Accrue?
Based on verified official data as of 20.07.2026; hands-on update coming.
Bybit Card cashback accrues on card spending, not on any balance you hold: 2-10% of each eligible purchase depending on your card tier, per bybit.com/cards (verified 20 July 2026). Rewards arrive as points that sit pending for 4 calendar days after the transaction, then become redeemable — with MNT, Bybit's ecosystem token, available as the payout currency. The balances that fund the spending itself are the Funding Account (fiat first, then crypto) and Flexible Easy Earn.
TL;DR
- Cashback is a percentage of card spend — 2-10% by tier — not interest on holdings.
- Points stay pending 4 calendar days, then redeem via the Rewards Market; MNT is the ecosystem-token payout option.
- Spending is funded from the Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn; holding or spending MNT adds boosts, including offsetting the 0.9% conversion fee.
How the cashback is calculated
Every eligible card purchase earns a percentage set by your card tier, from 2% at the entry tiers up to 10% at the top (Tier 6, plus VIP arrangements). The size of your Funding balance does not change the rate — only tier and VIP status do.
Mechanically, cashback lands as rewards points: pending for 4 calendar days after the transaction completes, then converted to available points redeemable in the Rewards Market. In the cashback token settings, MNT can be selected as the payout currency, and Bybit's MNT program adds boosts for holders.
Which balances are involved — and which are not
Two different questions get conflated. What funds the spend: the Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn — fiat deducted first, then crypto per your payment priority. What earns the cashback: the spend itself, regardless of whether it was covered by fiat, BTC, or USDT.
Balances in Spot or the Unified Trading Account neither fund card purchases nor earn card cashback. One MNT-specific perk touches fees rather than rewards: per Bybit's MNT guide, paying with sufficient MNT can fully offset the card's 0.9% conversion fee.
Who this is NOT for
- Users expecting yield on idle balances — that is Easy Earn's job, not the card's
- EEA residents, to whom the card is not offered as of 20 July 2026
Frequently asked questions
Not by itself. The rate is set by card tier and VIP level, not by balance size. Holding MNT unlocks boosts under the MNT program — enhanced cashback settings and fee offsets — but a large USDT balance in Funding earns the same tier rate as a small one. Spending volume is what moves tiers.
