Does the Bybit Card Spend From Spot or Funding?
Based on verified official data as of 20.07.2026; hands-on update coming.
The Bybit Card spends from your Funding Account, not from Spot or the Unified Trading Account. Bybit's help center confirms the card has no wallet of its own: it deducts fiat sitting in the Funding Account first, then auto-converts crypto from Funding or Flexible Easy Earn following your payment priority, with a 0.9% conversion fee. Trading profits must be moved to Funding via an internal transfer — free and instant — before the card can use them.
TL;DR
- The card draws on the Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn — never Spot or the Unified Trading Account.
- Fiat in Funding is deducted first; crypto is auto-sold at the One-Click Sell rate plus a 0.9% conversion fee.
- Moving trading profits to Funding is a free, instant internal transfer inside the Assets page.
Which balance the card actually uses
Bybit states the card 'does not have its own wallet balance' — it derives funds from the Funding Account and, if enabled, Flexible Easy Earn products. Your Spending Power figure on the card dashboard is calculated from the base-currency balance in Funding plus your selected payment cryptos converted to that currency. Assets sitting in Spot or the Unified Trading Account are invisible to the card.
The deduction order is fixed: fiat in the Funding Account goes first. When fiat is insufficient, Bybit sells crypto according to the payment priority you set, at the One-Click Sell exchange rate plus the card's crypto conversion fee (0.9% per the NomadCrypto database, verified 20 July 2026).
How to make trading profits spendable
Open Assets, choose Transfer, select Unified Trading Account as the source and Funding Account as the destination, pick the coin and amount, and confirm. Internal transfers between your own Bybit accounts are instant and carry no fee.
Once the balance lands in Funding, the card's Spending Power updates and the funds are available at the till. Setting USDT or your base fiat as the top payment priority keeps conversion behavior predictable.
Who this is NOT for
- Users in regions where the Bybit Card is not offered — bybit.com/cards states it is not available to EEA customers as of 20 July 2026
- Traders hoping to spend open-position collateral or unrealized PnL directly
Frequently asked questions
No. There is nothing to top up. The card is a window onto your Funding Account and Flexible Easy Earn balance. Whatever sits there, in fiat or supported crypto, is what the card can spend. If Funding is empty, the card declines even if your Spot or trading account holds plenty.
