Does the Bybit Card Work in Turkey?
Based on verified official data as of 20.07.2026; hands-on update coming.
Partly. Bybit the exchange accepts Turkish residents — Turkey is not on its restricted-country list, so you can trade and hold funds there. The Bybit Card, however, is not issued to Turkish residents: supported card regions are the EEA (via Bybit EU), Switzerland, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Kazakhstan's AIFC, parts of Asia-Pacific and Mexico. If you already hold a Bybit Card issued in one of those regions, it works in Turkey like any Mastercard.
TL;DR
- Exchange: available to Turkish residents (not on Bybit's restricted list, verified 20 July 2026).
- Card issuance: not offered in Turkey — supported regions are EEA, CH, AU, AR, BR, AIFC, parts of APAC and MX.
- Card use while visiting: works at Turkish POS terminals and ATMs; a foreign-exchange fee applies when spending in lira.
Issued in Turkey vs used in Turkey
These are two separate questions. Bybit's excluded jurisdictions are the United States, Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Singapore, Canada, North Korea, Cuba, Iran, Sudan, Syria, Uzbekistan and Russian-occupied regions of Ukraine — Turkey is not among them, so opening and verifying a Bybit account from Turkey is permitted.
Card issuance is narrower. Bybit's card program covers the EEA (now through Bybit EU under its MiCA licence), Switzerland, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, the AIFC in Kazakhstan, selected Asia-Pacific markets and Mexico. Turkey is not on that list, so a Turkish residential address does not qualify for a card application.
Local rules add one nuance. Türkiye's central bank bans paying for goods and services directly with crypto, but card spending is unaffected: crypto converts to fiat before the merchant is paid, so the transaction settles as an ordinary Mastercard payment.
Visiting Turkey with a Bybit Card
A Bybit Card issued in a supported region works at Turkish shops, restaurants and ATMs wherever Mastercard is accepted. Spending in Turkish lira triggers a foreign-exchange fee that depends on where your card was issued — 0.5% for EEA/Swiss cards, 1% for Australia, 7% for Argentina.
ATM withdrawals are free up to a monthly allowance (for example €100 on EEA/Swiss cards), then 2% applies. Turkish ATM operators may add their own surcharge on top.
Frequently asked questions
No. Bybit does not issue cards to residents of Turkey. The card program covers the EEA via Bybit EU, Switzerland, Australia, Argentina, Brazil, the AIFC, selected Asia-Pacific markets and Mexico. A Turkish residential address fails eligibility at application, even though the Bybit exchange itself accepts Turkish users for trading.
