Is the Bybit Card a Real Mastercard?
Based on verified official data as of 20.07.2026; hands-on update coming.
Yes. The Bybit Card is a genuine debit Mastercard, issued under licence from Mastercard International, with an EMV chip and 3-D Secure fraud protection. It works anywhere Mastercard is accepted — Bybit cites 90+ million merchants — and withdraws cash at Mastercard-network ATMs. Availability is regional: programs cover Australia, Brazil, Argentina, Mexico, APAC and the AIFC, while bybit.com/cards stated on 20 July 2026 that the card is not offered to EEA customers.
TL;DR
- Real issued Mastercard debit card — EMV chip, 3-D Secure, virtual and physical formats.
- Accepted at any Mastercard merchant and Mastercard-network ATM worldwide.
- Regional programs only: EEA customers are excluded per bybit.com/cards, checked 20 July 2026.
What 'issued Mastercard' actually means
Bybit's card terms state the card is issued by a licensed card issuer pursuant to a licence from Mastercard International. To a merchant, the terminal sees a standard debit Mastercard — same acceptance, same authorization flow, same refund and chargeback rails as a bank-issued card.
The practical consequences: contactless and online payments work like any debit card, Apple Pay and Google Pay are supported (NomadCrypto database, 20 July 2026), and cash withdrawals work at ATMs displaying the Mastercard mark. The crypto part is invisible to the outside world; conversion happens inside Bybit before the network is involved.
Regional programs, not one global card
The Bybit Card is run as separate regional programs with their own issuers, currencies, and fee tables — help-center pages exist for the AIFC, Brazil, and other regions. Fees and free ATM allowances differ by program, so the card a user in Brazil holds is not identical to the one in Australia.
As of 20 July 2026, bybit.com/cards states the card is not offered to EEA customers, and Bybit's service agreement excludes the US, mainland China, Singapore, and other jurisdictions entirely. Check the card page for your region before planning around it.
Who this is NOT for
- EEA residents — the card is not offered there as of 20 July 2026
- Anyone needing a credit line: the Bybit Card is debit-only, spending existing balances
Frequently asked questions
At any ATM on the Mastercard network, yes — that covers the vast majority of machines worldwide. Bybit charges a 2% ATM fee beyond a regional monthly free allowance, and the NomadCrypto database lists a €500 daily ATM cap. The physical card is required for most machines.
